What's in a name?
I am an interdisciplinary artist devoted to elevating feminist, social, and environmental justice issues. My work spans a variety of media, including street art, painting, photography, performance, animation, and film. I combine experience in visual media making with knowledge of strategy, operations, and arts administration within social and environmental justice nonprofit community-based organizations, museums, and movements. My artistic endeavors have shown internationally, been featured in the New York Times, and my arts administration work ranges from facilitating the growth of the world’s first queer museum (Leslie-Lohman Museum) to managing mural programs for detained young people on Riker’s Island (Groundswell). I am currently running amok, pursuing certificates in clinical herbalism from ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism and graphic design from California Institute of the Arts, acting as Scribble’s Creative Strategist, creating art in public spaces, and checking up on the chickens at Bushwick City Farm.
